anniversary of its registration as a World Natural Heritage site in 2023.

campaign, and information about the beautiful Tsugaru can be found through websites and media.
Over the 14 Tsugaru Logo

I created this logo while thinking back to my childhood in Aomori, where I was born and raised.
One can find nature far beyond our imagination, and the echoes of festivals that make our blood run
wild. There is a mixture of beauty and passion here.
I depicted this thought with light in the stained glass “To the Blue Forest” at Aomori Airport. From
that, it has evolved anew with this new opportunity to connect to Tsugaru.
I have included many unique features of Tsugaru, such as the Shirakami-Sanchi, Mount Iwaki, black
woodpecker (Kumagera), fan-shaped Neputa, apples, kokeshi wooden dolls, golden ayu sweetfish, and hot
springs, in the letters to express my thoughts.
We named the title, “14 Tsugaru,” to give you a taste not only of Tsugaru, but also each of the 14
regions in Tsugaru.
“Tsugaru Tsunagaru” is the perfect phrase.
I hope that the various charms of Tsugaru will connect us, the region, and to the future.
