Hirakawa
The National Scenic Garden is a totally different world surrounded by nature that tells the town’s history.

Seibi-en is one of the remaining Oishi Bugaku-style gardens in the Tsugaru region. Within the garden is the Seibikan, a building with a rare blend of Japanese and Western styles with the first floor featuring a pure Japanese style and the second floor a Western style. It is said to have been used as a model for the stage of an animated Ghibli animation. It is a world away from the hustle of the city.
