Tsuru no Sato Furusato Hall
In 1995, a straw-thatched house (120 years old at time of transfer) belonging to the Kawamura family of Ushironakano Village was moved to its current location near Fujimi Lake Park.
Showing the incredible care used with the materials, the inside of the house is still preserved as it was at the beginning of the Meiji period, with tatami mat rooms, living room, dirt floors, stable and hearth recreated perfectly. There are displays of farm implements and other tools to recreate daily life of the day, and demonstrate the history of Tsuruta, Aomori.
