Michi-no-Eki Ikarigaseki Tsugaru Seki no Sho (Roadside Station)
Located on the border with Akita Prefecture, this Michi-no-Eki rest area on national highway 7 has not only local produce direct from farmers and a dining area, but lots of facilities like an onsen and an indoor pool, a rarity for rest areas in Japan. Its special products include ramen and gyoza made with Japanese yam mixed in, and are hugely popular.
