Kuroishi Tsuyu Yakisoba (Stir-fried noodles with soup)

Kuroishi Yakisoba is often sold as a snack for kids, and is known for its thick, flat noodles, well mixed with a Worcestershire-based sauce. A new, unique way of eating it is Kuroishi Tsuyu Yakisoba, which is topped with Japanese or Chinese style soup stock. It’s a beloved local flavor, and has placed at the top of the B-1 Grand Prix (“locals’ favorite food” event) rankings a number of times.
There are currently about 60 shops serving yakisoba in the city.
