Local Sake
Kuroishi is surrounded by wide spreading farmland, blessed with clean air and the pure spring water of the south Hakkoda mountains, all of which are perfect for sake brewing. Nakamachi Komise dori, with its old Edo charms, still has 2 working sake breweries. Be sure to enjoy some of these excellent sakes born of the Tsugaru climate.
