Wanimokko

Wanimokko is a workshop specializing in raw wooden made-to-order furniture or accessories. They work to preserve the traditional everyday culture and recycling society of the southern Tsugaru satoyama. To earn the name “Masters of the Woods,” the craftsmen use the wood bestowed by the forest as skillfully as possible to make everything from wooden utensils to houses. The goods made here are made simply and unpretentiously, to show off the true beauty and vitality of wood and inspire long use.
