Tsugaru-han Neputa Village
Hirosaki’s Neputa festival, registered as an important intangible folk culture asset, brings the summer nights into brilliant color. Here you can see floats on display, enjoy Neputa music and Tsugaru Shamisen performances, and you can try making Goldfish Neputa or Tsugaru Kite Paintings. The Yokien garden in the unique Tsugaru Oishibugakuryu style is a must see, with its views of Mt. Iwaki and the ancient pines of Hirosaki Park.
