Ajigasawa Onsen Suigun no Yado
Next to the popular Gono Line’s JR Ajigasawa Station, this secluded, traditional ryokan is rich with a sense of history and the warmth of wood. Ancient sea water, called “fossil seawater,” has turned into a valuable hot spring. The saline level is high, making it retain heat and humidity well, creating a natural kind of thalassotherapy (sea water therapy). They have rooms with outdoor baths, and offer homestyle cooking made with select local ingredients.
