Gran Mer means “the great ocean” in French. Hotel Grand Mer Sankaiso(Lodging) is located on a hill overlooking the Sea of Japan. This western style hotel has ocean view rooms and those with a view of Mt. Iwaki as well. The onsen facilities are varied, with full baths, jacuzzies, stone outdoor baths and western style outdoor baths. You can gaze out over the sea to watch the sunset and cold waves, or enjoy the changing of the seasons as you relax in the hot spring water. The hotel is particularly proud of its dining, making use of ingredients from the Sea of Japan and Shirakami-Sanchi area.
