Shirakami no Mori Promenade
This trekking area is perfect for enjoying the heart of World Natural Heritage Site Shirakami-Sanchi. This place is in the Kuromori area, 30 minutes drive south of central Ajigasawa. The area registered as a World Heritage Site is another 20km to the south. In the roughly 52ha area you can join an eco-tour guide to see this untouched wilderness full of beech trees over 200 years old, and seasonal alpine plants.
