Historic Landmark Tareyanagi Ruins

The nationally known Tareyanagi ruins are remains of 656 small rice paddies dating from the late Yayoi period, roughly 2100 years ago, disproving the previously thought northern limit for rice cultivation.
Currently, 161 of those small rice paddies have been revived as “Yayoi Experience Fields” where visitors can try agricultural work.
